Harmon St. to Las Vegas Boulevard Pedestrian Bridge
Las Vegas, Nevada, U.S.
In 2008, Innova teamed again with the steel erector, crane supplier/operator, and fabricator to help set the new pedestrian bridges connecting project city center to the Cosmopolitan Las Vegas, crossing Harmon Avenue, and Planet Hollywood crossing Las Vegas Boulevard. The Las Vegas Boulevard bridge segments are 110 feet long with a column located in the median of Las Vegas Boulevard, and the Harmon Avenue bridge is a 160-foot long clear span. Innova collaborated with the erector and general contractor with the early planning for setting the bridge segments, rigging design, delivery to the site from the lay down yard that was three miles away, final erection sequencing, rigging devices, and a new splice on the Harmon Bridge so that it could be shipped from the fabricator to the lay down yard. In addition, Innova reviewed and approved the bearings for the bridge segments, assisted with the field supervision of the picks, and provided rigging for erection of the stairs servicing the bridges. The bridges were set in 2009.
